Chapter 1930 - 1934: Nominal Wife
[2] The heir must have pure blood lineage.
Originally, Su was somewhat dissatisfied with this arrangement, but after meeting Jiao Yang in person, she was smitten and naturally tried to impress.
Out of courtesy, Jiao Yang did not refuse.
"What would you like to drink?" Su took Jiao Yang’s arm, "I’ll take you to get a drink."
"Thank you," Jiao Yang returned her a smile as they walked toward the buffet table, lined with various drinks and food.
Watching Su and Jiao Yang leave together, Lilly’s gaze darkened slightly.
Mr. Loh Yi and his wife, however, smiled with satisfaction, unaware of the truth, they simply assumed Jiao Yang was interested in their daughter.
The Duke of Kent glanced at his son’s back without a word, while Jiao Yalin beside him knew the reason behind Jiao Yang’s actions, silently sighed in her heart, yet her face maintained an elegant smile.
Having been in this circle for over twenty years, she had learned to wear such a mask on her face, even if her heart was aching to cry, she could still smile elegantly.
This, is high society.
Jiao Yang picked up a non-alcoholic drink from the long table, then raised his wrist to check the time, there was an hour left before the flight took off, he had to find a way to leave promptly.
"You’re not drinking alcohol?" Su picked up a glass of wine from the table, looking puzzled at the non-alcoholic drink in his hand.
"Right now, I don’t want to drink." Jiao Yang glanced at the wine in her hand, "Do you like drinking?"
"Yes, I like a life of excitement." Su lightly clinked her glass against his, "I’ve heard about you, I like your rebellious side. Look at these people, smiling elegantly one by one, but inside, they’re all thinking about filthy things, aren’t they?!"
Jiao Yang smirked slightly, "If you don’t like it, why do you stay?"
"Because... I’m waiting for you." Su took a step closer, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him, "I like your eyes... as beautiful as the night sky."
Jiao Yang chuckled lightly, he had met too many women, and from the first word Su said, he knew what she was thinking.
"Maybe we should find a quiet place to chat?" he said with a smile.
Su laughed, she had heard of Jiao Yang’s reputation as a playboy, and of course, she knew what he meant by "chat."
Reaching out her hand, she took his arm and stepped forward, "Follow me!"
The two walked through the vine-covered corridor, leaving the party scene, and quickly arrived at a secluded corner of the garden.
On one side were flowering trees and on the other was a fence, it was extremely quiet.
"No one will come here." Su drank down the wine in her glass, then raised her hand to hook around Jiao Yang’s neck, "Let’s get married. After marriage, I won’t restrict your freedom, and you won’t restrict mine. Of course, I won’t have another man’s child, I will ensure our heir’s bloodline is pure, what do you think?!"
"No!" Jiao Yang raised his hand to move her arm away, "Miss Loh Yi, I think you’ve misunderstood."
Su was young, beautiful, and seductive... In the past, meeting such a girl, he wouldn’t mind a wild night.
But now, Jiao Yang was no longer the person he used to be.
"I don’t need a nominal wife, nor will I be someone else’s nominal husband." Releasing her hand, Jiao Yang casually placed his cup into her hand, "Thank you for bringing me here, goodbye!"
